    Amused

Stole this from Slyferret. It is very amusing! I love this kind of stuff even though, for the most part, it is bullshit. I guess there is loneliness there because Stephen is still up in Ashville at this point.

What am I supposed to think when they give the man, who I technically outrank, a larger year end bonus than myself? And when they give him two raises last year when most people got just one? Its extremely frustrating.

    Weekend Fun
So last Wednesday I was walking to my car after work. It was dark, and I was the only one in the parking lot... well except for the homeless man I didn't notice, who came up and solicited me for money. Upon hearing I didn't carry any cash on me, he asked for a sandwich instead. I tend not to carry sandwiches in my bag, but I did have some Fiber One bars. So I gave him two fiber bars and hurried off to my car. While I don't mind feeding some one who needs it, it really makes me nervous when I get approached by strangers alone in the parking lot at night. So needless to say I've been nervous the past week when I walk to my car. I would walk with someone, but I tend to stay later than most of the people I park near. Actually, I'm about to go walk to my car alone again right now. O_o

Friday night I went out to dinner with a group of people who Tiffani knew through a friend of hers (making an effort to meet more people). Lets just say I would do well to never see that bunch of assholes again. Nothing terrible happened really (other than them making Tiffani and I help pay for their drinks dinner by splitting the whole cost of the dinner equally (I hate it when people pull that shit. I ordered less than you for a reason!)).

Saturday was freakin' awesome. We went out to a bar/club called Whiskey River. We danced for almost 3 whole hours! I was sore for a couple days. There was this drunk guy who came up and started dancing with me. He reeked like he was sweating alcohol out of his pores. Before he goes away he asks if I would kiss him... "Um, No". He seemed shocked and confused at my answer. Maybe he is used to hearing yes cause he is so frat-tastic? He asks again, and again I say "No". He waits a couple more awkward moments before leaning in and trying to kiss me anyway. Being completely sober, I easily manage to evade his attempts, and he stumbles off to go find whoever he came with. At least he asked first so I knew to watch out! Otherwise he would've gotten a hit to the gut, or if I didn't think about it first, he would've gotten a knee to the balls. Ha! I danced with two other guys that were nice (one of them was Tiffani's date who looked like Zack Braf!). Oh, I also danced with this reeeeally short (shorter than me) Indian man who spent the whole time staring at my breasts. At one point he motioned to the girls dancing next to us who were almost humping each other and was like "Can you dance like that?" "No." I got away from him as soon as I could. I bet he gets away with a lot of shit cause he is so little. I just thought I was being nice when I agreed to dance with him. Ha. Also, the cab driver, after being extremely unhelpful and uncooperative, asked for my number so we could go out sometime. I let him know that I was actually already with someone and then hurried on.

So yes, last weekend was much fun. Stephen is coming to see me this weekend and I am excited!

Friday is a ladies night at Whiskey River with free manicures, pedicures, massages, and pole dancing lessons. That should be interesting... heh

    OMG.... COFFEE.

I am hyper as hell right now and talking a thousand miles a minute. I hardly ever drink any caffeine, but there was free coffee at Starbucks! Plus the caffeine is making me happy and not so mopey, so its good. My hands are shaking. This is highly amusing.

    Ouch
So, I screwed up my back on Thursday, and while yes, it is better today (as in a can sit for 30 minutes straight without excruciating pain) it still is a constant pain with random stabs. Fun yeah? I need to stop hurting it. I'm sure falling on the floor in drunken laughter on Saturday did not help. lol. Thanks Jon!

We move to a new floor on the 16th of this month! It is good because it is new and chiny, and an applicant for LEED certification, but not cool cause I pretty much loose all privacy. We are in a cubicle farm. Thats what they had to do for LEED though, and atleast I get a window now! The lawyers in are freakin' bubbles. That sucks... for them.

I get to take my Dream Weaver class again! yay. I love going to class. If only I could just take classes as a career.

I need to go vote tomorrow... :/

Mostly your emotions are on an even keel and you do not get depressed easily, however you are sensitive about what others think of you. Your concern about rejection and ridicule cause you to feel shy and uncomfortable around others. You are easily embarrassed and often feel ashamed. Your fears that others will criticize or make fun of you are exaggerated and unrealistic, but your awkwardness and discomfort may make these fears a self-fulfilling prophecy. People generally perceive you as distant and reserved, and you do not usually reach out to others. You prefer dealing with either people or things rather than ideas. You regard intellectual exercises as a waste of your time. You are mostly a compassionate person, however you prefer to make objective judgments when possible, however you believe that a certain amount of deception in social relationships is necessary. You are guarded in new relationships and less willing to openly reveal the whole truth about yourself. You strive hard to achieve excellence. Your drive to be recognized as successful keeps you on track toward your lofty goals. You often have a strong sense of direction in life, but may sometimes be too single-minded and obsessed with your work.

    Juvenile Diabetes– I'm fundraising!
This year, I'll be taking part in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Walk to Cure Diabetes along with a half-million other walkers across the country. Our goal: To raise $100 million to help fund research for a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications.

Type 1, or juvenile, diabetes, is a devastating, often deadly disease that affects millions of people--a large and growing percentage of them children.

Many people think type 1 diabetes can be controlled by insulin. While insulin does keep people with type 1 diabetes alive, it is NOT a cure. Aside from the daily challenges of living with type 1 diabetes, there are many severe, often fatal, complications caused by the disease.

That's the bad news... and yes, it's pretty bad.

The good news, though, is that a cure for type 1 diabetes is within reach. In fact, JDRF funding and leadership is associated with most major scientific breakthroughs in type 1 diabetes research to date. And JDRF funds a major portion of all type 1 diabetes research worldwide, more than any other charity.

I'm writing to ask for your support because now more than ever, EACH of us can be a part of bringing about a cure. Each of us can make a real difference

Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as you're able?

Together, we can make the cure a reality.

    Thank you!

Please visit my Walk Web page if you would like to donate online or see how close I am to reaching my personal goal:

Not for nothing, but this quiz in itself is biased. The answers seem specifically designed to only apply to the top candidates, or have the answerer sound like an asshole.

    62% Tom Tancredo
    62% Mike Huckabee

Sorry... Stupid Rant Here... I'm in a mood...
OMG, news reports freakin' make me sick. Just the way they word things to make younger people look stupid and unable to help themselves, and how the older population needs to baby and take care of the younger. And kissing government ass at every chance they get, even if their story is anti-government, they still manage a reach around. I'm so tired of this playing the emotional string on america so they don't actually look at what is going on. They just wipe away the single tear falling down their cheek and sniffle and say "god bless america" or "our boys really need our support, we should support our government because that supports our men". Its such bullshit and I am really getting tired of all this fluffy bull shit that is designed to evoke a gut emotional reaction rather than a practical/logical one. I think what is more disgusting to me is seeing the people that actually fall for it. Ugh... I will stop before this turns into random rambling. I must just be in a restless mood. I am spending the weekend alone and the boredom is setting in...
